Give me a little more information. Are you trying to fix some bad areas or are you going to try and lay up new fiberglass over wood?
The best thing to do if you're repairing bad areas such as delaminations, is to remove the delaminated areas, clean off any wax around the repair area and then build up the repair area until its the same height as the old area.
If you're asking about filling gouges and scrapes, the best thing is to clean out any wax and then fill in the damaged area with an epoxy putty, feathering out onto the good area.
I would use a good 2 part urethane paint anf paint the boat as trying to match the color will not be easy |
