One is, my boat was referred to as a 32 Convertible by the previous owner. When I look at ads for them, sometimes they are called Convertibles and sometimes Flybridge Sedans and they all look identical. Anyone know what the model was really called by Pacemaker, and what the word Convertible actually refers to?

And two, can anyone shed light on 'Alglas'? Some Pacemaker models seem to have Alglas emblems on them. Mine doesn't, but in the original owner's manual, there is a picture of the factory and the sign says 'Alglas Boats' and there are also other Alglas references. Was Alglas a particular corporate incarnation of Pacemaker? A name for a model line or a construction technique, a marketing term, etc.?

OK, that's probably way more than 2 questions...

Gemini, I might be wrong but I think when the boats were originally sold in the 70's Pacemaker boats under 30 feet were sold as sportfishers and over 30 feet were sold as convertibles. The body style and inside extras were better in the convertibles than the sportfisher models.
The alglas name was purchased by Pacemaker when they first made the switch from wood boats to fiberglass boats. Mike might shed more light on this as he has posted a pacemaker history writeup
