Here is one for you - I surfing the Christ Craft fourm and there is a guy claiming that Pacemaker built a Gas turbine powered 48 footer sport fish in the mid sevities - Any one ever hear of that? I would like to see that - Reported speed of 35+ knots. Hmmm! Wonder if I could fit a couple in a 36' SF

Hey Mike, How about we just hook a couple of jet engines to a jet drive and see how fast our boats come up on plane (or would that be airplane??)
Never heard of a gas turbine boat built for public use in the 70's, I dont even think the Navy started using gas turbines until very late in the 70's maybe 78 or so, by then Pacemaker had gone out of business.

Mike, you know you can't believe those guys that smoke those funny smelling cigarettes. I agree with Terry, they were doing everything they could just to stay in business another year , I don't think they had an R&D budget that would let fool with something like that. Would have been kind of neat to see it go, though ! If it was for real.
