She was sweet,Dennis, she's just about all gone now except for the actual disassembly. She's been replaced by OUR TURN , a little further up in the posts. After 12 years It got to me at the end of last season and the beginning of this one. Mike & Terry know most of the story. One fuel tank after the other and now the stringer on the port engine, just can't justify the added expense anymore, so it was time to start over. It's a shame , though, all the problems came from incorrect repairs or faulty maintenance. If things had been done right before I got her she would probably out live me.Still makes me feel bad to see her go, I felt like that boat was part of my family. |

Hey Leo, You will alway have the memories of all the times you spent on her, now you will start making new memories with your new pacemaker.

Yeah, I guess your right, my 3 of my grandsons came up from Florida to visit with me this weekend and take me to the Eagles/Jacksonville ball game on Sunday, along with my son-in-law, Total suprise ,I knew nothing about it until this morning, really made my day, it's been 2 years since I've seen them. I met them at the Philly airport and the first thing they wanted to do was eat a cheese steak and then go to the boat. They loved the new one and can 't wait till summer when they can come up again, but then the oldest one looked across the lagoon and saw overdue tied up at my neighbors dock and he got all upset. Says ,he doesn't think we'll ever have as much fun on the new one as we did on her, when I told him we could go all the way for tuna on this one he lit up . Didn't take him long to forget, so I guess your right. It's just seeing them across form each other that is causing all the second thoughts.Once one of them is out on the hard things will change, I'm sure. It's gonna take a lot of work to get this one to look as good as Overdue did. |
