June 29th, 2009 every boaters worst nightmare
Luckily, it was just a smoke fire and no actual flames |

Terry,
You lucked out. All the work was almost up in smoke. What was the cause?

Mostly stupidity on my part. The forward bilge pump had quit working, so I was there that day troubleshooting the wiring and had put some stuff on top of the stove. When I left, I must have hit the switch turning the stove on when I shut the window. That started cooking the stuff on the stove. Other boaters saw the smoke and killed all of the power to the boat, thats why there wasnt any fire |
