Has anyone tried trolling braided line as an alternative to wire to get your lure down deep such as a bunker spoon for stripers? One friend says that it works fine while another said that he tried it and he prefers wire. I am going to rig up a rod this spring and compare the two. Let us know your thoughts and experiences on braid vs wire.

Has anybody trolled with braided line yet? With striper season coming soon it will be interesting to see the results. I am planning on trolling identical bunker spoons, one on wire and the other on braid.
