I have a 1974 Pacemaker 40 with starboard transmisiion slippage.
Has anyone replaced this transmission with a 1974 GM 350? Or, have you replaced the whole motor and transmission. If you replaced it what did you use?

Thanks.

Pete

Hi Pete, I have a 74 28 ft sportfish and I replaced the original 307's with 350 mercruisers. The trannys were rebuilt with a kit I got from ebasic power. Mine are the velvet drive 1:1 trannys. I saw one posted on ebay last week, dont know if its still there

Hello there Terry, things are coming along, slow but sure, I wish things were moving along a little faster but overall I guess I can't complain. I'll talk to you about it a little more in another forum, I don't want to mess up
this one with personal stuff, Hey, how is that work situation you were in worked out ? You can answer me in a PM instead of here, I'll talk to you later, hope everything is well with the family.....Leo

There is one thing bothering me about Allie's boat, he says it's a 40, I thought that the line of thinking back then was after 38 to put in diesels ?
Anyone have any thoughts, seems like a lot of boat to push with a pair of 350's.
